The Chick-fil-A Story
1946
In 1946, Truett Cathy opened a small diner just down the road from a Ford Motor Co. manufacturing plant. From those humble beginnings, Truett and his family built a multi-billion-dollar brand and revolutionized the quick-service industry time and again.
1964
After testing hundreds of recipes, Truett perfected the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich: a hand-breaded filet, a perfectly toasted bun, and two pickles placed just right.
1986
For the first two decades, Chick-fil-A pioneered and conquered America's mall food courts. In 1986, it was time for something new when the first free-standing restaurant opened in northeast Atlanta.
1995
In 1995, rebel cows began defacing billboards in southern Atlanta in hopes of saving themselves by convincing passersby to "Eat Mor Chikin".
2014
Truett Cathy passed away in 2014 at the age of 93. His legacy continues in every smile, every sandwich, and every life touched by Chick-fil-A.
Our Chick-fil-A Story
2005
After 14 years at FedEx, Frieda was selected as the Operator for the Stonebriar Centre location in Frisco, Texas. Under her leadership, the Stonebriar Centre Chick-fil-A saw unprecedented growth and became a staple in the Frisco community.
2008
After three years serving the community at Stonebriar Centre, the Marroquins moved up the street to the location at Eldorado Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway—the first Chick-fil-A FSU in Frisco.
2010
In 2010, the team at Eldorado & the Tollway achieved Chick-fil-A's Symbol and Champions Club awards for the first time. They would go on to win those awards a second time the following year.
2019
After eleven years faithfully serving their community, the Marroquins opened their second location at Lebanon Road & the Dallas North Tollway.
